Idk, I really like yellow females. Couldn't tell you why, lol. I'm still unsure if I'm experienced enough for a sorority, though, although I'd love one.

Well you have time to research them =) I think you'd do fine, and there's no better way to learn than doing it. But there's prlly a beginner's sorority thread around here somewhere with the no-how and more threads with what to expect of female behavior.

I actually suspect Demi of being bullied in a sorority or fry tank shortly before being put in a cup and sold. I can't figure out what else could've taken a chunk out of her fin other than another fish, and bettas do that. Then again a previous owner might've put her in with something else.

But I do know that there's a rather rigid (sometimes violent) pecking order in girl's tanks...I don't think my stress would be able to ahndle watching the girls associate themselves in their heierchy.

It's hard to judge their aggressiveness in their cups. I've read the sorority sticky and many other posts regarding them. I think I would have troubles feeding them and the beginning QT process... I'm not really sure what to do with the tank, lol! I don't really want to divide it, though.

I honestly don't know what to suggest....I'd have to read up more on those threads to come up with any decent ideas. Maybe tupperware bowls? I have a big one that holdsa gallon of water and I use to measure my water changes, but it'd be a suitable temp home. But multiple 1gallons would be tiresome...

I have good news tho.

More pics!! =D

Seiya

Kalec

-sigh- Seiya's easier to photograph, especially since he's lighter and he actually is more curious about my camera phone than Kalec who gets all flighty. Bah!

Oh my, I LOVE the second picture of Seiya. He matches those gems perfectly! And I'm sure Kalec will come around eventually :)

The hardest part with kalec is the lighting. Since he's all black velvet and dark-azure the lighting has to be brighter. He'll show up better in the new tank =)

I got this LED strip light that has day and night settings. I'm about to upload pics to my tanks album or you can see them in my diary thread. I think it's neat and won't warm the water terribly like the bulbs did in the original hood.
