A question about the treatment of Velvet?

Okay, so I've read the treatment thread about Velvet, and it basically says:

1 tsp of aq. salt per gal, 3 times, 12 hours apart. (so once a day?), so that you end up with 3 times the normal concentration. You're to perform daily 100% water changes and you replace the right amount of salt.

So... Two questions.

1 - Do you do the daily 100% water changes AFTER the three times you add the aq. salt?

2 - And if so, do you, after that, put the overall concentration of salt after the three times, every-time you change the water?

The first part means you must acclimate the fish to so much salt slowly. Once you have the fish acclimated you do the daily water changes and add in the salt.
So like

Day 1 Hr 0 add 1 tsp salt per gal
Day 1 hr 12 add 1 tsp salt per gal = 2 tsp
Day 2 hr 24 100% water change add 3 tsp salt per gal
Day 3 100% water change add 3 tsp salt per gal

Velvet is light sensitive so if you can keep the lights low in the area or put a towl over the tank that could help. I've never personally had any luck treating velvet with salt, so if it works for you that's great. If it doesn't, look for some copper safe.

So, do you mean, when I first treat my Betta, I put the 1 tsp in. Then in twelve hours, I add another, and then in another twelve hours, I do a 100% water change, and then add three tsp? And everyday after that, do 100% changes and add the 3tsp? And I could keep him in a bucket or something to do it? Or just put something over the tank?

Sorry, I've never had a Betta with Velvet before, and I find that harder to understand as I'm kinsthetic lol.

Could I do:

Day 1 - 1tsp salt p/gal
Day 2 - 2tsp salt p/gal
Day 3 - 3tsp salt p/gal
Day 4 - Start 100% water change - 3tsp salt p/gal

Could I add the salt once a day for three days, at the same time, so it's twelve hours apart?

Like:

1 - 11pm
2 - 11am
3 - 11pm
