Pinecone! HELP!

Please help! Cleo has pine coning scales! How do I treat?!
Tank size -1 gallon unfiltered.
Temp- 70
I Change water 2 times a week. Both 100%

I would raise the temperature as that could be some sort of response to the cold water... Try testing the water too and see what comes up.

Sorry for your loss :( Dropsy is usually fatal and it is very hard to watch them struggle :(

If any time in the future you have a betta with bloating or pine coning you can try epsom salts (pure no additives as per ingredients label) at 1/4-1 tsp per gallon predissolved, along with a good antibiotic like Kanaplex or Maracyn Plus (not to be confused with Maracyn or Maracyn II).
