So I went to the pet store to buy my mom some guppies for Christmas and I ended up buying myself a couple of Bettas. In my defense I also got her guppies and the Bettas were on sale, they needed a home lol. Anyway I noticed this morning that my female (by the way never had a female before) was showing iridescent blue on her fin so I couldn't resist take a few pictures to show off. The male (Pepe) is actually a nice orange color I normally get blues but he caught my eye right off the top.
I have a heater in Pepe's tank since its a 10 gallon. Its hardly on though since I keep my room a constant 78 degrees. Their tanks are not a permanent setup, I'm using my brothers tank for Pepe and he is getting a dwarf frog for Christmas. I want to get a 20 gallon and do half a sorority tank and half a community tank for Pepe. Or two just two 10 gallons, I'm not sure yet, I just don't want Pepe to attack the divider in an attempt to get to the sorority side.
