One thing to do is RESEARCH!!! This site helped me a ton with very simple things like the tail types. When I got Fireheart, he was marked as a HM double tail. I had to go up to a worker and tell him that the fish was clearly a crowntail. I saved about $6 on him because I knew my fish!

Actually, post count has nothing to do with experience in every case. High post count can sometimes only mean that member post a lot on the forum-Not that they have experience in fish keeping, however, usually they are helpful by pointing you in the right direction or to a member that can help.

Pet store people don't know their fish........ They have given me 0 help with Prada.

I prefer color and behavoir over fin type. Carter never shows off his fins hhes too busy swimming.

OLF has a point. I was just upgraded to junior member because I have posted A LOT and I have only had my bettas for four days.
