SOooo.. I was looking at my betta Pudge (whom I presume to be sick once again) and I noticed this little bug - all black - with wings and all in the rock portion of my tank... I don't know what parasites look like. I'm wondering if it's either just some random bug or a parasite that has now grown into some gross ass bug and my fish pooped it out? (LOL).
With wings? In the tank? Um.... I have no idea what it could be, but I wouldn't think that a parasite has wings..... (Yes, I know that my answer isn't particularly helpful, but it'll bump the thread up, and maybe someone else will see it.)
Oh, and why do you think Pudge is sick again? Did you post another thread about that?
OH, he was just sitting at the bottom of the tank and was eating normally.. so I was going to do a water change and he had flopped out of the net, so i picked him up gently and when I put him in the water... he had a seizure and past away.
I just noticed a small fly in my new Betta's tank. It was slowly walking down towards the water level. Betta was watching it... when it got a bit above an inch away, Betta jumped and nabbed it and munched, lightning fast! If it was a common little fly that somehow died and sank, your fish would have likely ignored it then.
Sorry for Pudge.
