Mr. Fishy (original, I know, but that's what our 2 year old can pronounce) is a mostly Red crowntail. When the light hits him just right he has some specs of blue. My hubby picked him out because his fins looked liked the Sith costumes on his Star Wars game.
He has been quited the trooper the last 3 days. We brought him home monday evening along with an adf. His adf friend was a totally spaz and kept running into him and Mr. Fishy would just move out of the way.
I ended up having to rescue the adf 3 times because he kept jumping to the back filter compartment of the Aqueon Evolve 8. The third time I actually had to dissasemble the tank to get him out. I went and bought the Fluval Spec 5 to transfer Mr. Fishy over. While the Aqueon Evolve 8 had cool features, it had some drawbacks that I couldn't stand.
Mr. Fishy LOVES the Fluval spec 5 and so do I. He uses every inch of it!
Once I switched Mr. Fishy to his new tank and rescued the adf out of the filter compart of the Aqueon Evolve 8, we decided that it was best that we take the adf back to the store.
Mr. Fishy is enjoing swimming solo in his 80 degree, 5 gallon tank. He eats NLS betta pellets. Thanks to everyone who helped get us prepared for our new friend!
