Quick question about ammonia.

doing a fishless cycle in a 55 gal -- do i add ammonia every day while the tank cycles? i won't have my test kit for the nitrite and nitrate until next week so should I just start adding the ammonia daily so that it is at 4 ppm?

Depending on the concentration level of the ammonia you purchased it will vary but here is a general guideline @ 5%.

.25 tsp = 1-2 ppm in 20 gallons ..

Always test but it's a starting point.
