Don't feel bad, you didn't know better and you were just trying your best to help him. Hopefully leaving him in peace will help him out. Don't feed him anymore tonight, making him digest food will put more strain on his system right now. I would just let him be.
Will you be able to pick up a heater for him?

Hm. I wish I could remember what I'd typed. It took awhile because I kept having to do conversions between Celsius and Fahrenheit. So by the time I'd finished it, you and OFL had both replied already. I figured this was an emergency situation, and I didn't want to slow things down, so I made it go 'poof.'

When you do, put him in a plastic container. Put the heater in his bowl, plug it in and float the plastic container in his bowl for half an hour so he can adjust slowly. I can't help you with good heaters to get, are you planning on going to Petsmart, Petco, Walmart, or somewhere else?

I suggest getting a thermometer too, so you can monitor the water temp. Aim for about 26C (79F).

How does it feel to your touch right now? (Hot / warm / lukewarm / cool or cold?)

Do you have any kind of thermometer available? (Is there one in your refrigerator, even?)
