Pretty boy!

If that is that 2.5g tank that is divided.. be careful as those are big slats in the divider - can easily grab each other's mouth.

yah. That means they can also see each other so be careful. They may flare to much which stresses them out.

Seeing each other isn't really a problem.. these fish are surprisingly social. It's the fact that the slats are wide enough that a fin or a mouth can be attacked through it. But seeing each other isn't something to worry about - they eventually calm down and many will stress if removed from seeing a neighboring fish.

If you start seeing problems with the slats, can make your own divider with plastic craft mesh and report binders. :)

thats odd all my betta hate seeing each other. If things do. Do get out of hand then u might want to use a solid black divider.

Myates is right. Bettas are sprisingly social.. My Males and females who are in divided tanks are happier and more active than my jarred fish.. But "newbies" actually try to grab eachother mouths through the slots in the divider as myates said, so you might want to put plants there or buy and make a homemade divider

bryana - they will still flare (usually less as time goes by), but that is their way of "talking" to each other. There are some bettas who prefer to be alone - but it is a fish-by-fish case. Most rather see and interact with another, even if it is to just puff out their chest and act tough :)

A solid divider isn't ideal if you are using a filter - the filter needs to be able to push through the whole tank to work efficiently. If wanting to use a solid black divider, drilling small holes in it all over will still be a must.
