Can I Add More?

I have a 20 gallon long sorority currently occupied by 4 female bettas, 4 albino cories, and 2 mystery snails. There will be 2 more females coming soon which will lead up to 6 girls. I'm wondering if I can add anymore? And if so, what type of fish?

Shrimp are a no. The snails need to have a chance to eat. They might get starved from them. The tank is cycled with an Aquaclear 30, heated to 76-77, and aerated with air pump. The pH is 7.6, water is moderate to very hard, GH and KH unknown.. Sand is the substrate. Not planted. Is this really the limit? What do you think? Could I possibly add more girls?

according to aqdvisor your stocking level is at 67% so you could definitely add more.
I'd suggest some rasboras or tetras. Something with a low bioload
you could also just add to your cory's or bettas

I would need 6-8 tetras, no room for that. ^^; What about Harlequin Rasboras? Those look quite nice. I've heard that stocking site is based on their size, not their bioload. I may add more females.. The more the merrier! lol Thanks!

i'd rather add more bettas. Female bettas are constantly left to die on the shelves for the prettier male bettas.

This is really true.. I guess I can squeeze in 2-3 more? It's best to overstock in a sorority anyway. But I also want a good amount of room for the girls' territories.

According to the AqAdvisor, you will be at 99% stocking with 9 betta females, your 4 cories, and your 2 snails. But, it also says to add more filtration. I then looked it up for just 1 less female betta and it said: 94% stocking and your filter would be satisfactory. Hope this helps!

Ah, so it looks like those 2 "Coming soon" girls will do the tank just fine then.

So 7-8 girls in total would be just fine? :D That's awesome! I'll get 2-3 from stores and 1 will be from.. I think everyone knows where I'm coming from.

Since I noticed no one mentioned this yet, I thought I'd toss in my opinion.....I definitely think bumping up the number of girls would be a good idea, however instead of bumping it all the way up to 8 I would suggest going up to 6 girls and then adding a couple more corys instead so that they can have a nice little shoal. :)

No one said it because Hopeseeker said AquaAdivsor said the OP's stocking level will have reached 99% with just 3 more bettas added. And with only 2 bettas added the stocking level would be at 94%

Doing what you suggested would likely over stock the tank.
