Heater size?? Betta being moved.

Alright. I bought a Betta and added him to my 12 gallon community tank. Unfortunately my mollies started nipping his fins and he started to develop fin rot... So I moved him to my 1.5 gallon Hospital tank with a micro heater that brings the temp up some amount of degrees from room temp... (Its the only one any of the three LFS stores had) Now he is being moved to a roomier 2.5 gallon (I know, I know at least 3 gallons but I'm not allowed to get a bigger one because they all cost like 40 or 50 bucks and I'm not allowed to get another new tank) what size heater should I get or will my 7 watt one be enough?


If it was up to me he'd have at least a 5 gallon. Ah the curse of being 17...

I think the 7W should be enough. Just monitor the tempreature closely for a few days to be sure, and more to kep your mind at rest.

i got my 10 gallon tank for 25 dollars. it was a starter kit. i had to buy the heater though

u should do what i did when i was younger and get a job...hell i was the fish guy at petco for awhile...talk about giving yourself from awesome deals/freebies =P
