How do you care for baby bettas

when i raised my HMPK from a fry(she was a surprise after my white HMPK passed away, from a friend. mailed to me when i got some Red Cherry Shrimp from her)...

i kept Chappy in a 3 gallon with daily water changes. water at a constant 80F via adjustable heater. i didn't have a filter, but a bubbler. a few silk plants, but she LOVED the GIANT MASS of Java Moss i had in there. she was fed crushed New Life Spectrum Grow and live baby brine shrimp.

NLS Grow helps them sprout up a lot. helped with some of my smaller adults, too. xD and she LOVED chasing the BBS. i highly recommend them if you're going to raise a baby betta. they're super easy to hatch, too (i hatched mine in a picnic jug for sweet tea, with AQ salt and a light bulb and bubbler. :B)

Thanks:) I hope when I buy one it lives, but if it doesn't I will buy another. I am planning on feeding live foods it's whole life, that's ok right? I'm assuming it is

spoiled things. :B of course it's okay! as long as you make sure they can't get parasites from them(which i've heard they can, but idk)...

Live foods only are ok as long as you're positive you're providing the full array of necessary nutrition. I still use high quality pellets as a staple for this reason, I just don't want to have to worry about nutritional deficiencies. It's totally possible to achieve all nutritional requirements with live food, the key is variety :)

You may decide to switch to adult brine shrimp at that point, but yes adult bettas like bbs too :)

I was planning on also having a sorority but my mom said no because of the whole thing where you have to take out a female if she is continually aggressive. So I'll just super spoil one fish:D

I really like hmpk's, I saw these two on aq and one was like all the way white with pink lips, and the other was all the way white with deep red fins:D I love them. So any other tips?
