after a couple of days they'l eat them. They wont starve! My local petstore feeds their bettas various live stuff so my new bettas never eat pellets at first. After 1 to 3 days they eventually learn to love them. It just takes that first swallow.
Bloodworms are a very poor diet. Brine shrimp you can do regularly as they have the protien and the fiber similar to their natural diet in the wild. Worms are treats - I feed those once a week.
For brine shrimp I feed my girls individually with tweezers so I can make sure they each only get one (unless I am nice and give a skinny one two). That's good for an ENTIRE day! Rest them one day - don't feed them one day.
