Question Compatible fish ideas?

I am looking at putting other types of fish in with my 5 female bettas in the 10 gallon tank. Should I put any other types or just leave the 5 females along as they get along with no problems? What types of fish are great with bettas and are easy to take care of?

Well, a 10 gallon is really too small to add any other compatible species as most of them are schooling and you already have 5 females. You could get away with a snail or some shrimp, or add a couple more females, but that's really it IMO

Well I plan on buying either a 5 gallon tank or another 10 gallon tank. can't decide which yet. I want to buy a male so I may buy a 10 gallon tank then add a few other fish with him.

Yeah, adding fish to the new 10 gallon wouldnt be bad! You could get a small school of rasboras or corys. I think as long as you dont get anything that resembles a betta's bright colors and aren't aggressive, they will be fine with the betta.

I think it's a bit full already. Corycats need shoals and I've heard about certain bettas eating Neons. I'd say...

PYGMY cories can live in groups of 5 in a ten gallon. Why did you use my post from another thread?
