Substrate Plants?

Does anyone know of any plants I can plant in gravel?? I am going to start a ten gallon tank soon and would like to have some live plants. Please let me know of any easy to care for plants! Thanks! :)

Most plants do just fine in gravel, ALL of mine (other than java fern and anubias (which have to be planted on hard-scape), are planted in gravel now)
As long as you have the correct lighting (6500k flourescent) and good fertilizer most everything you choose will be fine.
Here is a list of what I have, all good low-light beginner plants.
In Gravel: Rotala, money wort, amazon swords, anarchis, cabomba, aquatic banana, apongenton, bacopa, tiger lotus, water onion, vallisneria, hornwort
Floaters: Giant duckweed, cabomba, amazon frogbit
Hardscape: Java fern, anubias, java moss, pellia, riccia

Any substrate is fine for live plants, just make sure you tie plants with rhizomes (anubias and java fern) onto rocks or driftwood first so they do not rot and die. Eventually the roots will creep down into the substrate and take hold, but this can take several weeks to months. Both of these plants are very hardy and I recommend both, mine are growing like crazy and are nice and green :D. There are a lot of different types of anubias to choose from, too.

The substrate also needs to be deep enough, 2.5 - 3 inches, so the roots can have enough room to grow. Aemaki listed a lot of awesome plants that are fairly easy to care for. Just put them in under the right lighting and watch them grow :D
