Hi everyone have some stuff for sale trying to get funds to keep the hobby going. Here is what I have feel free to ask any questions. (Everything is plus shipping)
I was thinking about adding one in with my crowntail because he is blind.
He used to be very aggressive, but he is not so much anymore. I also know he doesn't get spooked too much, considering he is blind, lol. He follows me at the surface of the water when I blow on it. My VT is sort of aggressive... Not as aggressive as my CT was before he went blind. I was thinking it might be a good way to maybe keep him stimulated since he doesn't move around as much, and if he tried to attack the shrimp, well... he misses his pellets 90% of the time, lol.
Edit: also, do they eat betta food that sinks to the bottom? Most of my CTs pellets end up at the bottom, lol.
Shrimp eat any food they find  make sure to let the fella have coverage from the betta and you should be fine. There are also sinking wafers, sinking pellet, and zucchini (and a few other things) you can get for your shrimp.
If the Betta pellets are nutritious to him I'm sure he'd have enough food.. I have to siphon the tank often because usually at least one pellet (if not more) falls during every single feeding.
I've been thinking about trying out some live plants in my tanks, too... but I'd need some pretty hardly low-light plants. I don't know much about plants
I also still kind of want to try one of those shrimp in my blind bettas tank, but I want to make sure my tank is fully cycled beforehand. Is a 5 gallon too small for one?
I would plant my tank first with easy to care plants to create hidding spots for the shrimp. Right now what I have that would work for you are water sprite, hornwort, java moss, jungle val and duckweed. As far as how many shrimp you can keep about 20 easy if your betta don't eat them
Ah man, sad, XD I am more south then you are. Maybe if I ever get bored and wanted to have an adventure on the Metro. But burr to winter to even consider that right now. Anyways thanks for answering my question.
3 1/2 by metrolink. Is there even anything worth seeing in East Venture. Anyway I edited the old post before I saw your reply just wanted to say thanks for answering.
I was thinking about 20 give or take. Just enough for my little 10 gallon. I wouldn't need them until Febuary. Might order a few plants with them too. Nothing big. Something that can handle a low tec tank ;-) Posted via Mobile Device
