Pretty girls wanted!!!

I'm depressed! I'm setting up a 29 gal. sorority tank b/c I just LOVE the ladies! (No, I mean female bettas-I'm a girl, too!) They are friskier than my male (albeit he's an EE plakat; not exactly a sports-model fish)!
So far I have a CT and a VT female; I bought them (one @ Petco and one at Petsmart) for their drop-dead beautiful colors. Just as pretty as the boys!
I don't plan on breeding them, but I'd like a few fancy fins/colors for the rest of the sorority. I went on Aquabid- YIKES! Lovely fish, but at $20+ then shipping, that's one pricey fish!
So- yay! This site has classifieds! I wanted to post to breeders that I'd be happy to buy a non-show/breeder girl. Hopefully, I'd be saving some from a cull by a professional breeder.
THEN, I discovered that you have to have 100 posts to put a post in classifieds. I'm nowhere near that. No breeders offer sub-par fish for sale. I'd love an exotic color/form, and would be happy to pay a reasonable price... any ideas?

I have one giant HMPK that I'm willing to give to you for free if you want her...she's the last one left that I'm not keeping. She's got kind of a stripey body, mostly black, with red fins.

I LOVE the blue! One of my girls looks like #1, so I do love that color, too, but I'd like a blue.
What kind is she? How old?

She is a CT, I'm unsure of age, she came from Petco. I purchased her when she was very small in the beginning of December. I'd say 4-5 months.

Unfortunately, I'm in MA w/ 20 degree weather- how much is overnight shipping? Do you have heat packs?

Over night will be $35 I think. I'd have to double check with the Post office. Also no I don't. I'm going to order them when I get my next paycheck. So far no one has been interested so I don't feel the pressure of needing to ship out the girls any time soon.

I ordered a bristlenose pleco recently- it was just from NY but arrived stone cold DOA!!! The heat pack was 72 hours, but it took 4 days (go figure) to get to me (I could have driven there & back in 4 hours!) I was SO upset!

I would be too. If you really want her, I'll hold onto her until it gets warmer?

Also, did you try thawing the fish? Sometimes they freeze but if you try defrosting some can recover. I would set him up in steaming hot water and wait until it melt, have warm heated water waiting and as soon as he's thawed try to set him in the temp tank... It's worth a try IMO..

I put the cup next to my tank for 2 days... insert the Monty Python "Polly Parrot" sketch here, except insert "Pleco" for "Parrot"... it had ceased to be, gone to meet it's maker... unless the Bristlenose Pleco normally lies on it's back motionless, it was an ex-Pleco. When things started to smell, I had to toss the little guy. Maybe if I'd put 40,000 volts to it...
