LFS Finds

Do your LFS sell fish like this? I feel bad because they look so great when they first come in then they sit there for weeks or months and some die :( The last fish I tried to save, should have looked about like this:



Guy #1: In the pet store he looks mostly blue and black with I guess some iridescent green in him and a little white. My flash photo makes him look like he's got a lot more green.. really not doing him justice. He's also not fully fanned here Much more pretty in person:





Guy #2: Very similar to Guy #1 but he's got more white.



When I thew a flash this is what I got O.o He doesn't look like that normally.. obviously he has some green undertones though. He's way more blue/black to the eye.

I'll be going to a store about 30min away from me this Sunday(not really local! lol) to check out the fish and plants there.. I did some research and have high hopes to what i'll find..

that first betta you posted there is nearly identical to my DeT. the only difference is the ventral fins ie shorter and the caudal tail, 50 orange interior and the outer half smoky grey.

I've found 2 really nice bettas in my LFS. One was a blue butterfly HM and the other a mustard gas CT. Unfortunately, I didn't have another tank back then and so I couldn't get them. -.- They're gone now, but there were others. Those 2 were the best I've ever seen, breeding quality as well..

I dont understand why they sell the babies like that... its sad and disgusting. Tiny little area...stunted growth. Blegh.

Nice betta's! With my LFS its hit and miss... they just started selling DT's and they had a beauty Blue/White buterfly male who was only about 4 months old.... I passed on him... :(
