My new free walmart rescue!

I was parusing the bettas yesterday when I saw that walmart had doubletails that they were selling as crowntails! I saw this poor little guy with his tail barely there and he was biting it more! I complained to the manager about their terrible betta conditions, how three of them were dead and two of them had ich so terrible it was covering their eyeballs, and he gave me this little guy for free! Is it possible that his tail will come back? Once someone at a fish store told me that once the tail is gone its gone forever. Is this true?

It will definitely grow back in clean warm water. idk what that person was thinking when they said it wouldn't grow back lol

1. FREE?!?! When I consult a manager, they say $2.50.
2. Yes, after time. warm water, and good care, his tail will grow back. When it starts to, it will be clear fins, not white or colored.

well this shoots down the myth that walmart will not give away fish for free! You will see big changes in him within a month, I'm sure! Please update, ok?

Absolutely! This is the first time i've ever gotten a fish for free. Maybe the manager just thought "Oh boy, crazy fish lady again" and wanted me to leave haha.

The tail will definitely grow back, but I don't think the center will, lol XD Lucky that you got a Double Tail for free :)

He's a very pretty fish! I hope your complaining changed something at the store. Are you going to go back and check up on them?
