Betta Fish Not Eating

Hi Friends,
I have recently saved a crowntail male betta fish from my local pet-co, brought the little guy home, got his tank set up ( 5 gallon heated ), and try'd feeding the little guy a betta pellet and he didn't even come to the surface of his tank to eat it. I then took the pellet out and gave him a bloodworm and guess what, HE DIDN'T EAT THAT. Now here I am 2 days after getting him confused on how to gt him to eat. So how can i get him to eat?

PS: he doesn't have a name yet but i was gonna go with masta (betta)

Try dipping the pellets in a little bit of garlic juice to make them more appetizing to the fish.

Sometimes, it takes a few days to a week for your fish to get adjusted before he'll eat. It's quite a common problem actually. Don't worry, he can go quite a while without eating. My girl went 2 weeks when she was sick without eating, and she was just fine.
