Hi!
My name is Katherine, and I have a betta named Snowcone. ^.^
I'm from the south, so we actually call them "sno-balls"
I had a betta before my lovely girl named snowball, but he passed.
He jumped out his tank. -.- I got a lid after that..
So, I named my new baby after him. Her name is snowcone.
I've had bettas throughout my childhood, but this is the first time I'm doing it the right way!
I'm a teenager, and fell in love with Snowball at the pet store. I love animals. haha.
So I brought him home, did some research, and fell in love with fish after that.
Currently, Snowcone is in a 2.5 gallon heated and non filtered.
The nitrogen cycle just puzzles me
It's so confusing!
If I could get it right, I'd be owning my favorite fish right now! (goldfish)

Well, welcome to the forum Katherin, this is a great site for information and if you have any questions just ask them here. Dont ask petco or petsmart, they dont know a thing there talking about. Could you post a picture of snowcone? Also you said you love Goldies? Ask Olympia on any questions about gold fish, Olympia's an expert.

Haha! I never trust petsmart!
Especially not on my guinea pigs n.n

I have really bad lighting in my room, so when I get the chance I'll try to get some good ones in some light with my camera!

She's pink, with some blue in her fins.
I was actually trying to get better pictures of her and shes swimming sideways...
She was fine earlier.
I don't overfeed and I cleaned her tank a few hours ago, about 50%

It looks like she's only using one of her side fins.
I googled it and it said to feed a pea.
Would this help?

Uhm, I think I heard something like that would help, but I don't know really about any sickness except a little on ick and fin rot, and those two only becuase I had to deal with them. But you could ask someone like Sakura8, or Laki, or OldFishLady. They will probably be able to help.

Also, with sick Betta-we have a sticky post at the top of the Disease/Emergency section that need to be filled out and added to your new thread in that section.
