You could do that probably. (Sorry I'm half asleep so my brain is dead lol).
Usually to get a specific colour or to improve rays or finagge etc breeders will breed two of the same together or similar/better offspring together or with one of the parents to create it.

I've had two marbles ever, including Mushu, and my previous marble ended up from a white and purple fish to a navy blue fish with white lips! lol
This is Wonton Soup when we first got him.


This was about 6 months later!
