Another wal mart betta I couldnt resist :(

I have been eyeing this betta at wal mart for the past week, Hes a pink VT with red spots in his fins. He looked sooooo unhealthy today and I couldn't fight the urge to bring him home any longer. I put him in a 1.5 gallon for now to QT him. His fins are all stuck together and he is floating at the top kind of sideways. I put in some stress coat and a teeeny bit of epsom salt. Hope he makes it

I rescued mine from Wal-Mart too.

His water in his cup was so dirty I couldnt even tell what color he was!

I was not even shopping for a Betta, I was just walking down that aisle and I saw how bad his cup looked, and I said to my wife we are buying him NOW! lol

I have had him for a little over a year. :)

Just think, even IF he doesn't make it. You made him happy by giving him a good home and a chance. I do wish you luck :) I had a betta from walmart once. He lived for 9 months.

He is doing much better! He swims around now and I even got him to try a pellet. He spit it back out but it's a start! He at least has an appetite! His bottom fin is starting to fray at the bottom so I'm treating him with warm water and a bit of salt. I'm glad he seems happier :)

Good JOB!

I just rescued a betta from walmart a week or two ago as well. He's a gorgeous red white and blue marble, and was in the dirtiest cup with a live fish there, I honestly didnt think he'd make it, but I got him home, acclimated him VERY SLOWLY, added some AQ salt to help with stress coat building since I was out of stress coat, and now he's probably the most interesting betta in my room. He's definitely the most curious
Hopefully things will turn up for your little guy and he turns out the same!

Its so hard to tell how his ich is doing since he is lighter colored

Ooooooh good idea. Yeah hes covered in ich. Humph. Hes hanging out by his heater. Which is good I guess. Ill mix a bit more salt and stress coat.

Good idea. Turn the heat up to like 84 if you have an adjustable too. That should help
