ok i've finished the cleaning of my tank hours ago. this is my test results after having cleaned the tank (i also cleaned all decor as well) ammonia was .50-1.0 ....PH was 7.6.....PH High was 8.4-8.8......nitrite was 0.....nitrate was 0....so now what.....(using the api master test kit ....betta is still in the 10 gallon tank)
no tanks not cycled its still new under a week old. i cleaned it thoroughly bc i had 2 dead neon tetras (brought the rest back to store) and they tested my water in the bowl that i brought tetras back in and it was sky high for alkaline...so thats why and i have another thread opened about this :)
There are ammonia neutralizing tabs and drops that you can get from the store. If you have ammonia in your tap water, add it when you add your conditioner, then check the treated water before putting it in your tank. If it's still high, then there's something else going on.
