Tiny betta need advice!

So I got Sushi as a baby betta at petco abd I wasn't preparred with what I needed and ended up.feeding her crushed fish flakes for something like four months so this is completley my fault and I'm feeling guilty about it. Sushi is now something like an inch and 1/4 OR 1/2 inches long. She is also about 7-8 months old. Is there anyway she could get a healthy size or is she stuck that size? I also heard this could shorten her life, is that true? Please help!

I have limited experience with baby bettas so someone else probably has a lot more to share with you but I would switch her feed to New Life Spectrum Growth Formula.

What size is his/her tank? Temp? How often and how large do you do water changes?

10 gallons about every 2 weeks 20%, im hoping to change that to every week one week 10% second 20% third 10% and so on. Can i find that at most pet stores? I also added freeze dried bloodworms to her diet on alternating days. I think her fins are growing a tiny bit still but definatly not what they should be.

You can find it at my local Petco, but I don't know if it's at every petco. You won't find it at Walmart or Petsmart. It's really popular food so it's not too hard to find I don't think. But it is more of a food for the enthusiast, not college kit with a half gallon in the window of his 68 degree dorm room.

Every week requires 20% minimum water change in a 10g, including vacuum. OFL suggests 50%. I do between 25-50% weekly.

I would get a drops kit for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate and see where you stand.

I do have test strips for nitrate, nitrite, P.H, hardness, and Alkalinity, so 20% every week, and will that help her grow I will try to do that for her health any ways.

I suggest 50 percent weekly. Live plants really help water quality.

Keeping higher quality/cleaner water will help with growth. Seeing traces of ammonia or higher nitrates can stunt growth and cause other health/developmental issues.

I've heard that babies need more frequent water changes because the emit a hormone that can stunt their growth. This could be the case here, since you were only changing his water every 2 weeks.
