Stumpy :-(

My rescue Stumpy died today. I brought him home from work after I found his fins torn to shreds by a female (dunno why someone thought it was a good idea to put the two together, probably thought they could breed )
He never really grew his fins back but was so much fun to watch swim around the tank and play in the filter.

I think he died of a bacterial infection. He had had a fungus infection which cleared up, but then started showing signs of cotton mouth/ columnaris, though he never got fin rot or saddleback or anything, he just stopped eating and then bloated- classic dropsy. I'm just glad it took him fast and he didn't have to suffer.

Swim in peace Stumpy, I'm sorry I couldn't have done more for you.
