First time betta keeper here :D

Hello everyone,

Decided to do some research and I bought my first betta a few weeks ago. I have a little experience in keeping fish, although I must admit I have more experience in researching fish keeping

I hope to learn alot of things from the forum and look forward to being a part of the community

This is my crowntail named Bruiser soon after I brought him home from Wal-Mart

Thank you for the welcome Oldfishlady! I must say I never really like the look of Betta's, but this crowntail really changed my opinion when I saw him and I have a feeling I'm hooked on Betta's for life now!

The crowntail are beautiful I was hooked on them for a while my self. I figured for the first time doing it right Im starting with a normal betta. I think I'll check out auqabids the next time around though.

I had never seen a crowntail before until I started doing some research. My girlfriend and I had tried our luck on tropical fish, but I believe the local supplier was of poor quality. Soon after we bought our fish they became extremely ill and died off one by one no matter how much I medicated and researched. I remember hearing Bettas where very hardy and figured it would be a good gateway into other harder to keep tropical fish. We recently moved and I'm in the process of finding some where to set up my 10 gallon tank for Bruiser(mainly so he has a heater). I'd really like to try a planted tank because of how natural they look.
