Question How to know what kind of female bettas you have?

It all depends on the slope of their tail, how many rays they have at the end of their tail, and if they they have any rays sticking out of their tail. It takes a good eye to catch onto it.

But the link elsewhere posted describes it perfectly!

Thanks, i'm trying to take pictures of them but whenever i go near the tank they go all crazy like they're excited im here and wont stop moving damn

They are absolutely beautiful! I got a new guy today and was torn between him and a purple VT, but I decided on him because I just couldn't resist. I can't tell for you, I am horrid at placing Betta breeds, but they're awesome nonetheless! And the fact that they get excited when you're near means they know you aha.

Thanks :D and you're in canada too haha, and yeah they are still young i think, they were small when i bought them and their colours weren't yet 'complete', they had stress stripes on their body and now the colors are coming and the stripes are off :D

They mostly look like VT's but it's hard to tell on females unless they sit still
