Filter Question: Marina S10 Slim

So, my 5 gallon kit came with a Marina S10 Slim filter. The reviews I've read online are pretty excellent, so I'm not worried about its quality.

But, I was looking at the assembly instructions and I had a question. It seems that the power cord comes up from the motor from underwater. Is that right? Is the power cord really partially submerged? I mean, I'd plug it in with a drip loop and everything, but am I reading the instructions right?

I get really nervous about putting things together, so my tank has been sitting full of water while I procrastinate about assembling the filter.

Yep. It is partially submerged. I have the Marina S15 filter. :3

Partially some of your power cord is going to be sitting inside the water due to the fact that the motor is underwater. I have the s15 and love it.
