Veil Tail - why the low price?

So I have always wondered why Veil Tail Betta always have the lowest price. is it because they are easy to breed? I mean their tails arne't huge like a halmoom but neither are a Plakats.

I was just wondering if anyone had any insight, because veil tails are in my top 5 favorite betta

They are the most common. There are so many of them and they have really dominant genes that they aren't desireable to breed.
Atleast in my opinion

Yeah. There are a lot. I would say the king Bettas cost the most.

Supply and demand. There's a ton of em and they're not too popular anymore.
I like 'em, but they don't seem to be a favorite among most people on the board.

thanks, I figured it was something like that. Their tails might be common but I have found some beauties with unique colors that I want! I have been searching for a double tail veil tail but no luck so far, at least not within pick up distance, I don't want a fish shipped to me.

A DVT would be hard to find whether from a breeder or locally. I have never heard of it before.

I think I've only ever seen 2 Double VT's in my life, and both were online and not for sale. Unless you live in an area with a ton of betta breeders I think your best chance to get one would be online and shipping it.
Shipping isnt too bad, I've never had a DOA even with shipping priority in the winter, and I live in Ohio so we have a ton of snow.
