walmart 5 gal LED

Has anyone set up the
Walmart 5 gal tank kit with LED lights?? I am looking at one today and want opinions on this tank. a 5 gal hood would cost me @ 25.00 so I was just going to buy the kit.

It's a great deal but I don't know if LED lights are OK for live plants. I have the regular light 5 gallon kit, you will still need a heater and thermometer.

I give it a good review I'm just not sure about the lights being good if you want to grow live plants.

I have it....It won't support live plants but the light gives s really beautiful shimmer to the tank so if you don't plan to use live plants It's a fine tank. However, the 10 gal non led kit is only about 30 dollars which I believe was just a bit more $, I also have 2 of those, I just changed the bulbs from incandescent to 6500k plant lights and my plants grew beautifully. Both are nice, just depends what you are looking for :)

I have led lights for my 10 gal and the plants are doing fine, I am thinking about getting a few of those 5 gals and using dividers in them and putting two fish in each, right now I have 5 bettas and will have many more sooner or later I will do some pics of all the fish and their tanks when my new digicam come

I have this tank! I actually bought a second one today because I liked it so much. The one I currently have set up is divided and has mostly fake plants except for two marimo balls, some floating pothos pieces, and a chunk of hornwort I just put in there yesterday. It's been up and running since mid-November, and I just started seeing algae on the divider right below the light last week. I was told that the only live plants that might have a chance in this tank are mosses, java fern, and anubias because they are very hardy and like low light. I definitely recommend this kit, but if you were going for a planted tank it might be best to search for one with a different hood. :)
