I have a 20g tall and I want to put a Betta in it as the lone resident. Is it required that I remove the fish before doing water changes? (I'm new to Bettas.)
IMO/E-you don't need to remove the Betta for partial water changes-especially in a 20gal-Plus you shouldn't need to make very many 100%-if at all- even if you don't have a filter and established nitrogen cycle with a lone Betta in that volume of water. The less times you cup the better-due to stress and shock issues IMO/E.
