Mystery Snail Care Help

Hi, everybody.

Just to fill everyone in...I had one betta and a Mystery Snail in a 5.5 gallon tank. Sand and planted, filtered and heated. Betta and Snail got along okay, Mr. Snail is missing an antenna but he seems fine. However, with the sand being white and snail poop being green/brown it was impossible to keep my tank looking clean. I mean, I would clean it at night and the next morning it would look like I haven't cleaned it in a week. And being sand I can't get the vacuum really close without sucking it up and causing a big mess. Ugh.

I bought a medium sized Kritter Keeper (a little over 3 gal) put some old gravel in it, some little silk plants and put Mr. Snail in there. He has his own little domain and I think he's quite pleased with it. My question is, how often should I clean it? It's not filtered or anything like that. Just water, decorations and Mr. Snail.

You could get away with a 100% once a week.

But I suggest 2 50%'s per week
