Deformity or sickness??

My neighbor very kindly purchased me a little delta tail betta from Petco whom I'm very much in love with and pending a name for him.

But I noticed that although he is beautiful and I believe has some dragon scaling, he might have a sickness. I've placed him warm AQ treated water just to be safe. He doesn't act sick, he acts quite perky and healthy but it'll ease my mind if someone can look at these pictures and let me know if it's simply a deformed scale.

All pictures show the bump which is right behind his gill, except the last one, I don't know his color and wouldn't mind being told I think he has white dragon scaling but I do know his eyes are blue ;3 Thanks. Mostly worried about this bump though.

Looks to me like the colors he was Bon with, especially since its on the bottom too. Discontinue aquarium salts, they cause unnecessary stress. Nice fish tho!

I see the bump.. I'm not sure. Some bumps can be viral infections, but there's no much you can do but boost their immune system, keep their water clean and ride it out. Otherwise I guess it could be a tumor.. and beyond that I don't know..

I'm thinking that might be lymphocystis. I'd suggest you google it and compare some pictures.

IF it is, then it's a viral infection, so there is no treatment. But you will want to keep him in his own tank, since when the growths burst, it can infect other fish.
