My Betta has fin rot (which I'm currently treating him for) and he's been acting lethargic for the past two days, and I just moved him out of this 10 gallon tank into the 2.5 gallon hospital. He didn't eat yesterday when he was in the 10 gallon, and he isn't eating today in the 2.5, I don't know if he doesn't have enough energy to get his food, or if he just doesn't see it?
What temperature was the 10 gallon tank, and the current tank?
He's had fin rot for about 6 days now, I started doing an AQ. salt treatment, and now that it's worse I'm now using AQ. Salt, Maracyn-Oxy(that's all they had at Petco other than Melafix & Bettafix) & clean warm water. Both tanks are the same temperature, and I even floated him in the 2.5 gallon tank with a plastic baggy.
Do you have an idea what the fin rot is from? It can be caused by stress or bad water quality. How often did you clean the 10, and what is the water schedule now? Just so we can rule out some things ;)

Also can you get a picture of the fella up?
He had it when I bought him, however it was a lot less mild and not noticeble, he only had a small black line outlining his fins, I didn't think anything of it until his fins started to deteriorate.
He's had his fin rot ever since I got him, so I was changing his water daily in the 10 gallon, and right after I changed his tanks I did a water test in the 10 gallon and all the params were normal. He just has fin rot from sitting in the tiny cup in Petco. I've only had form a week.
Did you age the water or use some sort of RO water? When that happen i usually use a little aquarium salt, IAL and a small jar to hospital it.
I filled his 2.5 hopsital up with warm water, conditioned it, and turned the air stone on and let it sit for 3 hours, then I floated him in the tank for another hour, adding some water from the 2.5 gal into the baggy in 15 min. intervals.

Try a small canning jar with the same step you are doing. Sometime rotting finnage are serious and sometime it easy fix. Sorry to hear about your issue, I hope everyone goes well.
