Arrow Purple Giant Has Arrived!
The fish I won courtesy of DiiQue (thank you, thank you, thank you again!) in the Christmas Aquabid Giveaway has finally arrived (after I took forever to pick him out!) So far he has already started to color back up nicely despite being shipped and seems very healthy. He has the most expressive eyes I have ever seen on a betta before, but also very feisty. I don't think my shrimp will be long for this world once he is released into the tank. No flaring though. Maybe he is just tired of being cramped because he is so big! I can literally see into his mouth and it is kind of scary! I though my female was big at about 2 and 1/2 inches, but this guy is a monster!

The pictures so far are of him slowly, very slowly being acclimated, so I don't expect any good pictures until tomorrow, but already he has proven very photogenic despite there being hardly any lights on when I took these.

I lied, he is adjusting well so far so I took a bunch more photos and even got a video of his first flare here! He won't sit still for now and is VERY active. Sorry for the picture overload...

I love purple Betta! There were some beautiful purple elephant ear ones at petco but they are pricey and I don't have any more tanks :(

He is handsome!
