Pet Store "Grocery" List

Finally going to a pet store tomorrow. I need to know what to get also.
So I currently have a filter, filters, Stress Coat, and food.
I know for certain that I'm getting said for his tank, a couple decor, and a heater.
What else should I pick up?

A good conditioner and declorinator like API Stress Coat, Prime, or Tetra Plus
A good food like Omega One Betta Bufet Pellets and treats like bloodworms
You have substrate, filter, decor, and heater.
You will need plants (real will suck up amonia). Marimo Ball, Anubias, and Water Sprite are easy care.
Do you have a tank? What size?
Lights? What kind?
Bucket(s) to put pwc water?

Okay, I just thought that those were things you were going to buy. Plants would be a great adition as they will suck up Amonia and help the tank from spiking. Swing by a local dollar tree or somewhere for a fresh turkey baster which is great for spot cleaning the substrate. What water testing kit do you have? An API Master Test Kit will only cost you $20 on Amazon. Thermometer is a must.

If you live a good ways from anywhere you can get pet supplies, having 1st aid stuff on hand is good. Aquarium salt, Ick Meds, and other basics.

Another non-petstore purchase is White Vinager which went diluted makes a good disinfectint for new stuff as long as you rinse well.

They will overcharge you at the petstore for the kit. Get it online if you can. Do you have both a Stress Coat AND a declorinater/conditioner or just one of them? Adding some soothing non-conditioner stuff can help them heal and feel better when you can't dose with more conditioner.

So what about a 1st aid kit?

How about a moss ball? Or some frozen food like bloodworms or brine shrimp?

A Moss Ball is a ball of Java Moss. A Marimo Ball is a plant that ebs and flows in rivers. Neat little things with a texture like a sponge.

And my dad is the same way

Ok thank you! So I'm going to get sand, a heater, maybe some decor, and I'll look at the test kit and see the prices.
