i am planning on a NPT 5.5 gal = 16.1" L x 8.4" W x 13.6" H

Plants on its way (Monday/Tuesday):
1. 6" x 1" Cholla driftwood w/Marimo moss
2. 3" x 3" Pygymy Chain sword
3. Cryptocoryne Wendetii (Red)
4. Hygrophila corymbosa potted 4" x 4"
5. Hygrophila corymbosa augustifolia (long leaves plant that can turn red with lots of sunglight or stay green in low light)

In QT: Wisteria, 4 branches, 2 with whisker-looking root thingy on the stem.

A quarantined 1 1/2" diameter Marimo Moss ball (very deep forest green).

Too small. The only thing you can put with a betta is a shrimp or snail in a ~5 gallon. For the above fish I'd move to a 10 gallon.

glass catfish get up to 4" and require 10g minimum, but a lot of people will say no less than 25-30g

I don't know if anyone noticed or not, but there's no glass catfish in that photo. The one in the photo is some sort of pleco.. This is a common glass catfish:

I was about to say that's a pleco lol. Remember most bettas will eat shrimp as it is natural for them. So it is a hit or miss with them.
