Age of him?

they normally get about 3-4 in.

honestly speaking you can never tell some breeders stunt betta's growth which causes them to obvs not grow too fast or at all. so if this was normal growth and being he is halfmoon and haven't yet opened his 180. I would assume he is at least 3-3.5 months old taken in account how long you had him and how old breeders usually sell their stocks

I don't know how old he is but he sure is pretty!

Now not including fins, his body is about 1 inch. Before, I have no idea. This is him when I first got him.

I was more or less trying to figure out the rate of growth. If he was fully grown and stunted, he wouldn't have had much growth IMO. And I agree with you. 3-4 months sounds about right. The finnage and color should really come in at about 6-9 months. He is lookin good, so I can imagine he is gonna be a pretty little stud muffin when he gets older
