Imagine yourself as a heartless criminal....(humor me here)
Now, imagine you have 2 choices.
Break into the home of a couple that hunts deer, ducks, boar etc
Or break into the home of a couple who has no guns and only 1 dog


You're going to choose the easy way out. You wouldn't want to risk yourself on that hunting couple. Both more than likely have a handgun in their nightstands. And you'll surely meet your maker breaking into their home. However, with the couple with no weapons, you can easily quiet them and the dog. Hell maybe the dog is one of those yippe dogs whom is more likely to go run and hide than sit and bark at you or even lunge at you.


It's common sense. Risk your life or not.

You still haven't shown me any hard data that can prove that gun bans cause more gun crime any more than any other factor that also exists in high crime areas. Until you can do that, your logic doesn't hold water. If what you're saying is reality, it shouldn't be hard to link me to a peer reviewed study definitively showing a cause and effect relationship between gun bans and crime rates that accounts for these confounding variables. It used to be "common sense" that the earth was flat. Then it was "common sense" that the earth was round but the sun revolved around it. Then Galileo proved that even that was wrong. With hard data.

Apparently you have NO common sense and logic! FYI all sheriff and police officers I am friends will are THOROUGHLY against any type of gun restrictions or gun banning. They promised to up hold the law and the constitution, they're not going back on that promise. Your "degree" holds nothing against personal experience of law enforcement and criminology. BTW criminology is NOT that difficult to require a degree. Criminals are so much more simple minded than you think.

I'm done talking to a brick wall. You're takin in nothing I am saying and not even TRYING to see my side. You think you're always right. Like I said, go do the "google dance" on current crime stats. I think you need to do more research out of your textbooks.

ETA: you haven't provided me with any "hard data" or proof on your claims either. Simple common sense will tell you that crime happens most in area where those are unarmed and defenseless.

Did anybody see the Piers Morgan Tonight episode with Alex Jones? It was an interesting debate until Mr. Jones started to yell and stuff.

Anyways, Piers touched on the fact that America has 11,000 or so gun murders whereas the UK has only 35 gun murders.
