Hello everyone, very interesting site here, I have found it quite informative. I suppose it would be fun to tell you all about my betta experience and myself.
About 7 years ago I owned three bettas. Admittedly I was young and new to this so my bettas did not have the 'best' houses or heaters or food, but all three of them thrived.
Trogdor was my first.
He lived about five years and was a close coloration to the betta I own now. Sort of a black and blue combination.
Elric was my second.
Elric was this pasty white sickly fish with no fins that I rescued from Walmart. He never really looked that pretty but I like to think I improved his life while I had it.
Red was my third.
Unfortunately his stay with me was short lived. He jumped from his tank one day while I was at school. He was pretty though, mostly red with some blue hues.
That was then. Now I have one fish, though I have the fever and want more. My goal is to get a 5 gallon tank and partition it and get a second betta, for now though one will do.
I was going to name the new fish Hamburger... but something horrible happened and I just started calling him 'The Fish'.
Yes. His name is 'The Fish'.
-_-
Anyways, he's spoiled and staring at me right now in between his plants, like the creeper he is. We sort of obsess over each other, and he flares at pretty much everything.
I realize he isn't a 'special' or expensive betta, but at the shop he was the one with the biggest attitude, I watched them for a bit before making my choice. The Fish has quite the attitude and a lot of personality.
I like to draw and live in Canada. ;)
Cheers everyone!
