Ok. idk how big it is not big at all. and I will get some rocks and plants for it. Does it have to be live plants and what would the best type of plant be? and It does not have a heater. How much do thos cost? and the reason it is not big i read tht they didnt need a big place.
There's a lot of myths out there about bettas. If you can afford to buy a 5 gallon or so that would be great. Bettas need swimming room just like all other fish. You don't have to have live plants, if you choose to get some java ferns are good and easy. Or else silk plants. As far as flaring it's either or stress or he's seeing his reflection. You can get heaters under $15, it depends. The smaller the tank the lower the wattage.
well just like humans they dont need a big space to live. BUT for them to be HAPPY he would need a good 2.5 to 5 gallon tank. bcuz sticking them in a small place i like u living in one room your whole life. not much fun
and the plants dont have to be live but live plants are better bcuz they put oxygen in the water.
An upgrade would be great for him. Even a 2.5 gallon would be better but if you're gonna spend the money you might as well swing for the 5 and give him paradise. For a 2.5 gallon a mini-heater would work great (Marineland and Hydor both make quality ones, 7-10 watts) and the mini-bows usually come with a filter, and if you get a 5 gallon tank then you should have a 25 watt heater. A thermometer would be good in both cases also.
ok. So 5 gallons would be perfect for one betta? And I will prolly end up getting live plants and a heater. But what size heater for a five gallon tank??
Oh my gosh I can't get a 5 gallon tank but that is what EVERYONE tells me to do....I cant get another tank but what makes a tank more roomy?
