Tank questions.

This is my 5 gallon Betta tank. Is this too cluttered or lacking anything?

You could put a little more water in it. Just leave about 2 inches at the top.

IMO it is hard to overdecorate. I would agree with filling the tank more as long as you have a hood or something covering the tank...



This is my sorority tank, and as you can see you can really heavily decorate :p They love to have cover and tall plants to sleep on, so if anything, I would add at least one plant that will reach the surface of the water when the tank is fully filled. He will probably be happier with more resting places near the surface and more hiding places. They don't hide a whole lot and usually they like to come to the front of the tank when you approach it so I wouldn't worry about him hiding all the time. I do like your floating log!

Be careful with that heater because most of them need to be fully submerged and you have a lot hanging out..

I agree water level should be raised. I raise to to just below the black lip and I keep a lid.

Have you done a snag test on the decor and plastic plants?

No filter? 100% weekly changes then :)

That sorority tank is stunning...did you get the silks from petco? I recognize a few I just bought for Alexei last night :P He's loving all the new soft cover...though none are tall enough to reach the surface. Darn hex tanks.

Ok, thank you. Nice tank Ayala. I will raise the water level, it's not normally that low...I vacuumed and didn't refill..too busy with another tank. I have a tight lid, so he shouldn't jump out.

I will be swapping the heater with a shorter one. @two Alpha(Bettas name) is an insane nest builder.
