Here is my situation.
-One of my really good friends birthday is coming up.
-He's always wanted a pet, but his parents wont commit to a dog, rabbit, or hamster.
-I have about 10 gazillion pond snails.
-I also have a spare kritter keeper with a ten gallon topfin filter, gravel, and some plants.
-The water in my area is nice and hard so the snails will do well.
I'm going to ask him and his parents whether he'd be allowed to have some of my snails. I was thinking that he'd be able to keep them in my kritter keeper, with my plants and gravel and clean it maybe once a week? My questions are:
1. Do they need a heater?
2. Would one 50% water change on a 3-ish gallon KK wtih topfin 10 heater be enough?
3. Would he just feed them lettuce, and algae pellets?
4. I was thinking of a list of what he'd need. Have I got everything?
-tank
-filter
-gravel
-plants
-veggie clip
-water conditioner
-algae pellets
-gravel siphon
-small bucket
-maybe heater?
I'll be doing some research today, so let me know ASAP! :D
