As i say in recent threads i'm so excited to be getting my male VT a new 10gal. but, the filter is a penguin biowheel 100 and i'm nervous the intake and/or out flow will be too strong - , -. People tell me i can baffle using fluval sponges, water bottles, etc. but how exactly?!?!?! i don't wanna baffle it wrong and have issues - . -. i want my boy to have the best new suprise home :3
I do not baffle my intakes because they don't seem to bother either fish too much but you may need to watch carefully after installing yours to see if it does bother your fish. I often catch the betta swimming against the current of the outtake just for fun (I think :P ).
I have a Marineland Biowheel in the betta tank and two 40-60g Tetra filters in the goldfish tank. I used tape but a rubber band would probably work better :p
hahaha and the 10gal i'm getting comes with a penguin 100 biowheel!!!!! :D wait so if i'm going to have 5 neon tetras and my male VT in a 10gal with that biowheel filter... will that be good enough? cause it's a strong filter i only need that one right? and the biowheel intake didnt rip your betta's tail or suck him up right?! lol i just wanna make sure for mine :3
