Got Java Moss, Black Growth, got some questions

When recieved there were 2 packages, which I quickly warmed. I then separated the green and brown parts (strands with part brown removed) and put them under a window and added a growlight and regular bulb that produced heat. 1 day after had light green on both (hell yeah) and I continued removing brown parts to the next container. I also have turned the moss around twice a day in the good container to try to give light to all parts of the moss. 2 days after, noticed black growth in the main container.
Both containers are tap water and clear.
1. Should I alter my care? Is turning the moss bad?
2. Is the black algae (that is my belief)? If so, what should I do?
3. Can I safely add either of the containers to the main aquarium? If so, would it help the current situation?

Sounds quick for black algae? unless already present in your sample!
