One of my ADFs died today, and I'm not sure what caused it. He was acting a little strange. Every time he moved he would flick and dart around. I thought he was molting.
When I looked a few hours later he was lying flat on his back beneath the heater not moving. I thought it was his old skin until one of the other frogs poked it, and he moved and twitched his leg before lying back down. He lay there unmoving for 5 minutes so I poked him with my net and lifted him out of the water, he remained unmoving.
I watched him for a few minutes and poked him, trying to get him to move. After examination, I knew he was dead. Does anyone know what this could be? I'm sorry for the few clues, but that's the only strange activity I noticed.
