Well, since Zebra has decided to be a boy, I had to throw together a new tank for him. It's another 10 gallon, housed in the kitchen. I am officially out of room with 2 ten gallon tanks, 1 20 gallon, and 1 55 gallon tank. Feedback on this one is appreciated. The water's cloudy still...that substrate was really mucky. Anyway, it's a mix of live and fake plants for now, take a look:
Ha Ha Laki. Thank you. I have three other tanks already, so I had something to draw from.
Also, I'm a tank psycho. They have to look a certain way, even if they are in the beginning phases. This one isn't quite there (as in: I don't like silk plants, all real for me), but it looks OK for the moment.
There are a couple of water lily bulbs in there too...I have a beautiful one in my other 10g, so we'll see how it goes.
Yep, lots of salvinia. Also some watersprite and a huge water lettuce I got from Tricker's(for free!! Such nice people!). The lights in the tank are really bright, so the floaters are a necessity. Norbert (who was named Zebra but then my daughter insisted on a name change once we figured out he was a boy) doesn't seem to be worried about the light though.
I scaped the tank again, trying to get more real stuff in there. Doesn't look like I will be completely be able to ditch the fake plants just yet, but took one out at least.
