What could be wrong?
I suspect finrot and maybe ich, but I don't see why or how...?
He also looks *older* if you get me. He doesn't look as.. vibrant?

Ok you're tank isn't cycled, which means he could be having ammonia poisoning, do you have a small tank on hand?

Hey there,

Sounds like whitespot/ich, I would treat for that. Are the pellets you are feeding him specifically for colour enhancement? many colour enhancing foods are not good for betta health.

Also, you do have an extremely big tank so now that I think about it maybe his ammonia levels are fine (test strips aren't very accurate so they're not ideal if you're going to regularly test water). I've never heard of the medication you've used but the one thing to note is that some betta medication actually harms them rather than helps. The best thing to do is to use aquarium salt and watch him. Clean water is really the best you can do for him until you're 100% sure of what he has

My tank is completely cycled. :)
It has been for a long time lol.

Wunder Tonic is a really good general cure for like, finrot, and other fungal diseases.

Thank you for the help, everyone. I am really confused how he's managed to get it, though. It's just like it showed up. -_-

Even a fully established tank needs a weekly water change of 25-50%. You also never need to do 100% change.

He should also be fed small amounts daily and one fast day a week. Maybe start at 3-4 a day split up.

Would treat white specs (like salt)? By increasing (very very slowly no more than a degree per hour and stop if he starts showing signs of stress) to 86-88F and add 1 tsp per gallon predissolved aquarium salt. Salt can be used up to 10 days. Leave the heat up a week PAST when the last spec appears.

Aquarium salt for external issues....
Epsom salt for internal issues.

So for external spots, it's Aquarium salt.

If you're doing 100% water changes than it most likely isn't, if it was you'd only want to do a 25% once a week or every two weeks depending on the levels in your tank. Trust me I thought I had a cycled tank...boy was I wrong! lol
